Performance Workshops in Los Angeles – Build Stage Presence & Expressive Power

Develop Your Voice, Presence, and Confidence On Stage

Great performances aren’t just about skill — they’re about connection. Whether you’re a musician, actor, or speaker, your ability to own the stage, communicate clearly, and move an audience is what sets you apart.

At SunPath Music, our weekly performance workshops are a space where students grow in confidence, presence, and expressive power. Designed for artists of all disciplines, these workshops help you take what you’ve learned in lessons and apply it in a live setting, with supportive coaching and actionable feedback.

Led by Sam Druckerman — musician, director, and performance coach with 20+ years of experience — these workshops bring together students of music, acting, and voice to practice performing and get better, faster.

What Happens in a Performance Workshop?

Held weekly at the Santa Monica Playhouse, our performance workshops offer real-world rehearsal time in a professional environment. You’ll perform your material (music, monologue, scene, etc.) on stage, under lights, and in front of peers.

We focus on:

  • Stage presence and comfort
  • Connecting with the audience
  • Managing nerves and anxiety
  • Communicating emotion and intention
  • Physicality, breath, and posture
  • Expression through voice, face, and body
  • Musical delivery and performance pacing
  • Interpretation of lyrics or scripts
  • Applying technical skills to live work
  • Receiving and integrating live feedback

After each performance, I provide direct, constructive notes on what worked, what to improve, and how to grow into your best performance self.

Who This Is For

Our workshops are open to all levels. Whether you're a beginner who's never performed or a pro looking to sharpen your edge, you’ll benefit from stage time, feedback, and community support.

This is perfect for:

Why These Workshops Work

The most powerful performances come from a mix of technique, intention, and real practice. That’s exactly what these workshops provide.

  • A professional performance space
  • Individualized coaching
  • A creative, welcoming group of peers
  • Weekly accountability
  • The chance to rehearse under real-world conditions
  • Optional video recordings for review and growth

You’ll walk away with more clarity, better technique, and the confidence to perform your work with purpose and presence.

“These workshops are the reason I’m working as a musician today. They gave me the space to practice, learn, and believe in myself.” — Nick Hinton

Bonus Access for Private Students

Students who commit to a full month of private lessons receive free admission to the workshop series — a $300 value. This gives you a chance to put your private lesson material into practice on stage, accelerating your progress and giving you tools for real-life performance.

“A great performance is a gift the artist gives to the audience. And these workshops help you give that gift with intention, joy, and impact.” — Sam Druckerman

A Supportive Community for Creatives

One of the most valuable aspects of the workshops is the cross-disciplinary environment. You’ll learn alongside actors, singers, and musicians — all focused on growing their craft.

The vibe is focused but friendly, structured but creative. It’s a place where people take risks, try new material, and encourage each other to push just a little further each week.
