Guitar Lessons in Los Angeles – Learn to Play with Confidence & Creativity
Master the Guitar with a Personal, Passion-Driven Approach
The guitar is an intricate and beautiful instrument — but it doesn’t have to be intimidating. At SunPath Music, I’ll help you demystify the guitar and learn how to play with heart, technique, and originality.
I’m Sam Druckerman, a professional music teacher with over 20 years of experience guiding students from all walks of life — complete beginners, seasoned musicians, songwriters, and performers. Whether you want to strum your favorite songs, write original music, or perform live, I’ll meet you where you are and help you grow your skill set in a supportive and structured way.

What You’ll Learn in Guitar Lessons
Every lesson is customized based on your musical interests, goals, and current experience. I help students
build foundational skills, develop their ear, and use real songs to understand what makes great music work.
You’ll learn:
- How to play your favorite songs — accurately and by ear
- Chords, scales, modes, and music theory
- Classic riffs and solos from your favorite artists
- Fingerstyle, flat picking, and hybrid techniques
- How to improvise and create original solos
- Singing and playing at the same time
- Songwriting, arranging, and composing original pieces
- Ear training and learning songs without tabs or sheet music
We’ll also work on your performance confidence — whether you’re preparing for an open mic, playing for friends, or looking to record your own material.
“Sam introduced me to the world of music performance as a gift… I’ve been getting a lot of compliments on how much I’ve grown as a musician, and I know that’s thanks to his teachings.”
— Natasha Perez

- Singer-songwriters who want to accompany themselves
- Musicians preparing for studio recordings

My Teaching Style
What sets my lessons apart is
how we learn. I believe deeply in learning by ear — listening closely to pick up on the subtle elements that make music powerful and emotional. This allows you to develop
true musical instinct, instead of just copying tabs or memorizing theory.
From the first lesson, we’ll focus on:
- Playing music you’re actually excited about
- Understanding the “why” behind every technique
- Building both technical fluency and creative expression
- Encouraging your unique sound and style
- Moving beyond fear and into performance readiness
Lessons are available in 30, 60, 90, or 120-minute formats based on your schedule and goals.
Bonus – Free Performance Workshop ($75 Value)
Every student who books a month of lessons in advance gets free access to my monthly Performance Workshop. This unique opportunity helps you:
- Perform in a live, supportive group setting
- Practice your songs in front of peers
- Receive actionable feedback from an experienced director
- Build comfort and confidence with public performance
Workshops include a mix of guitarists, singers, and actors — creating an exciting, collaborative space to grow as a well-rounded performer.

Do I need to know how to read music?
Not at all. I’ll teach you how to play by ear, use patterns, and develop practical theory that makes sense — no sheet music required.
Do you teach electric or acoustic guitar?
Both. We can focus on any style or instrument you prefer — from fingerstyle acoustic to electric solos and improvisation.
How long are lessons?
Lessons are available in 30, 60, 90, or 120-minute sessions. We’ll choose what fits your goals and pace.
Can I learn to sing and play at the same time?
Absolutely. That’s something we often work on — building coordination and confidence in multi-tasking.
